Privacy Policy for Behaviour Decoded

Last updated: 29 October 2026

Behaviour Decoded is a private log for parents and caregivers. Eduplay Therapy provides the app.

What the app stores

On your phone, the app can store child profiles and the records you enter: behaviour, food, sleep, toileting, activity, screen time, medicines, illness, injury, discomfort, notes, contacts, and lesson or quiz progress. It also stores a random device ID so the local database can tell copies apart, and your choice about Android backup.

Where it stays

Those records stay in the app’s private storage on your device. We do not receive them. The app has no account, no ads, and no analytics.

When a copy can leave your phone

  • You export a CSV, a behaviour PDF, or a day summary, and you send that file to someone.
  • You turn on Google backup. Android may then save an encrypted copy of the app’s data to your own Google account, if backup is also on in the phone’s settings and the phone has a screen lock. You can turn this off in the app. An older copy can remain in your Google account until Android replaces or removes it.
  • You share a file with another app. That app’s privacy policy then applies.

An exported file is ordinary text or a PDF. Anyone who has the file can read it, so share it only with people you trust.

How to delete your data

You can delete one child’s profile and the records stored for that child inside the app. Uninstalling the app removes the copy stored on that phone. Deleting inside the app does not delete a file you already sent to someone, or a Google backup made earlier.

Children

The app is for adults caring for a child. It is not directed at children as users. If you do not want a child to see the records, do not hand them the phone to operate the app.

Not medical advice

Behaviour Decoded is an educational record for caregivers. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or advise on medication, school, or therapy.
